The Castletownbere Development Association are hosting a Spanish Fest which will be a two day event held in Castletownbere over the June Bank Holiday Weekend, on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th. 

All day on Saturday there will be Spanish Tapas specials in participating food businesses throughout the town (see our Facebook Page for list of businesses) At 8.30pm we will host the first ever Election of “Spanish King and Queen of Castletownbere”
 

On Sunday from 1pm; there will be a street market on Main Street, 2pm; drum circle with “Drum Dance Ireland”, 3pm; Castletownbere meets Pamplona, with a children’s running of the bulls, 4pm; street performance by “Drum Dance Ireland”, 6pm; Castletownbere “Copa del Rey” street soccer competition, 9pm; fire performance by “Pyromaniacs”, 10pm; ceremonial bonfire lit by the new King and Queen. Traditional Spanish food and drink will be served throughout the day.
