Rosscarbery is a pretty village, overlooking the tranquil bay, dominated by the impressive St Fachtna’s Cathedral. It is a haven for tourists, especially in summer, when people flock to the nearby beaches.

Rosscarbery is close to three fine beaches. The nearest of these, the Warren Beach, is about a mile from the village along with the nearby Owenahincha beach. The town centre offers a lively pub scene as well as some top class restaurants in the charming square . A traditional farmers market with local food produce is held in the square every Saturday morning.

Rosscarbery holds two festivals each year, the Festival by the Sea in June , which is a family oriented music festival and the Family Festival in August, a 10 day festival of family events, such as sand castle building and pig racing, which has been running for 60 years.
